Diamond Aircraft has completed delivery of a comprehensively retrofitted DA62 MPP surveillance platform to QinetiQ, with the Dutch Military Police as end user. The project centred on upgrading an already operational aircraft under EASA Part-145 approval.
The retrofit included integration of a SHOTOVER M2 imaging system, SHOTOVER ARS augmented reality mapping, Rohde & Schwarz multiband radio, TETRA radios, an AEM advanced audio router, and a line-of-sight data downlink. The configuration enhances reconnaissance, communications and real-time data transmission capabilities for demanding surveillance missions.
