ABOVE: Last year over 300 aircraft visited the SleapKosh event

The organisers of Shropshire Aero Club’s ‘SleapKosh’, now in its fifth year, are expecting over 500 visiting aircraft from across the UK and Europe, including warbirds, vintage aircraft, and modern light aircraft. The event, named after Sleap Airfield and the US EAA’s AirVenture gathering at Oshkosh, saw over 300 aircraft fly in last year for a weekend of aviation and social activities.
This year, SleapKosh runs will take place 11-13 July, featuring live music, food, and what organisers call ‘the UK’s best fly-in evening airshow’ on Friday and Saturday nights. Note that the event is exclusively open to members of the Shropshire Aero Club (SAC) and fly-in visitors, with no public road access.
