Helicentre has confirmed that applications are now open for its 2026 Commercial Helicopter Pilot Scholarship. Since 2012, the academy has awarded more than £1.2m in scholarships, sponsorships and bursaries, supporting dozens of helicopter pilot careers. Past recipients are now flying in sectors including HEMS, offshore energy, search and rescue, utilities and flight training.
The 2026 scholarship will be awarded in September and is open to applicants training at Helicentre’s Leicester or Oxford centres. Candidates must complete a self-funded Private Pilot Licence (Helicopter) by 31 July 2026.
