The Global Aviation show will be held from 5-8 April at Friedrichshafen, Germany

The P2012 Traveller prototype by Italian manufacturer Tecnam is set to take a break from its test flights to make an appearance at Aero ’17, as the famous aviation show celebrates its 25th anniversary.

The 11-seater is powered by two 375hp Lycoming piston engines, giving the aircraft a cruise flight speed of about 180kt at 10,000ft, and is equipped with the G1000 Nxi flightdeck from Garmin.

It is hoped to complete flight certification by the end of 2018.

‘The opportunity to present our latest design is very exciting,’ said Walter Da Costa, Tecnam Global Sales & Marketing Director.

‘The P2012 Traveller is the largest aircraft Tecnam has built to date.’

At Aero ’17, more than 60 Tecnam dealers from all over the world will also be presenting the MkII version of the highly successful P2002 Sierra, complete with an improved cabin and state-of-the-art avionics.
