Flight sharing platform Wingly is celebrating their first year of business in the UK by hosting a fly-in at the Goodwood aerodrome, Chichester, on September 30

Wingly have been described by media outlets as the ‘Airbnb of aviation’ and after a successful first year in the UK, the company are hosting a fly-in featuring a BBQ, one free landing and the chance to meet other members of the growing Wingly community.

The online platform allows passengers to directly contact pilots and arrange either a scenic tour or an A to B destination flight. It not only provides a personal alternative to commercial flying but also allows pilots to share the costs of plane ownership.

The CAA has also recently come out with guidance on cost-shared flights, indicating that they expect more and more people to start using the service.
