Bristol Scout 1264 will be at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Hants, on 21 September. If you haven’t seen this remarkable aircraft before it will be an ideal opportunity in an iconic surrounding
1264 is the reincarnation of the original machine which was flown by Flt Sub Lt F D H Bremner.
Starting with three original parts brought home by him in 1916, it has been rebuilt to flying condition by Theo Willford and Bremner’s grandsons, and is a regular performer at the Shuttleworth Collection.
Starting at 1900, it is planned to run the engine, and then to screen the TV documentary about 1264’s history, rebuild, and early flying, followed by a question and answer session.
