Members of the Comité International de Micro Aviation (CIMA) have voted the UK as host for the World Microlight and Paramotor Championships 2016.

The BMAA has posted the following message from Rob Grimwood on its social media:

“To let you know I am at the CIMA meeting in Switzerland and there has just been a unanimous vote in favour of us hosting the World Microlight and Paramotor champs in 2016 in Damyns Hall! Great news and exciting opportunity for UK microlighting.”

The event will be run by members of the BMAA with Rob Hughes as Event Director and Rob Grimwood as Competition Director.
