Yorkshire-based Condor Aviation has announced that it is working with Australian Aircraft Kits (AAK) to develop a turboprop version of their two-seat STOL Hornet model. The British firm also said that it is working to develop a four-seat version of the aircraft, and that it will be the dealer for UK, African and Australian deliveries of the Heron turboprop engine.

When powered by a turbo Rotax 914 engine, the Hornet has a published takeoff distance of 100m over a 50ft obstacle, with a cruise speed of 85kt.
