Stapleford Flight Centre has become the first recipient of the NATS Infringement Prevention Award.
The award was introduced to recognise GA clubs that go the extra mile to help prevent airspace infringements.
It is open to any flying club, association, school or group which has made a special effort to prevent and mitigate the risk of infringements and to educate and support pilots who do.
A press release on NATS’ website said: ‘Stapleford Flight Centre in Essex is the first recipient of the NATS Infringement Prevention Award, having successfully halved the number of infringements by its members in 2012.’
