A great way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon, watching vintage aircraft perform aerial displays to the sound of popular classical music from the 50-piece National Symphony Orchestra. Pre-show entertainment will include an aerobatic display from Rich Goodwin’s Muscle Biplane and the music will open with the energetic vocal duo Perfect Vintage. Aircraft expected at the event include: two MK1 Spitfires, MK9 Spitfire MH434, DH88 Comet, RAF SE5a & Sopwith Pup, Gloster Gladiator, Avro Tutor & Blackburn B2, Hawker Sea Hurricane 1b, Avro Triplane & Bristol Boxkite.
Gates open atnoon, pre-show entertainment begins at 6.30 and the airshow at 7.00. The whole evening culminates in a grand fireworks display.
Tickets (online in advance) cost £32 for adults and £16 for children and include parking, entry to the Shuttleworth Collection and the Regency-style Swiss Garden and woodland sculpture trail.
