Pilot will have a stand at this year’s Safety Day at IWM Duxford, which takes place on Saturday 12 April. Fly-in visitors – among them, weather permitting, Pilot’s Editor – will be treated to presentations by the CAA, D & D, the Met Office, NATS and other bodies involved in flight safety.

“The Safety Day has become a regular annual event and has proven to be very popular with the GA community,” organiser Sue Cran tells Pilot. “The day consists of various presentations, and opportunities for pilots to have informal conversations with representatives from a wide range of organisations.”

The event is held in two adjacent rooms in the AirSpace building, one for stalls and table top presentations, the second being set up for appropriate safety-related presentations

There will be half-price landing fees for those who fly in. Admission is £5. Landing slots for this ever more popular event are limited and booking is essential. PPR tel: 01223 833376. Guided tours of the museum’s popular AirSpace and Battle of Britain exhibitions will also be available. For further information, see: iwm.org.uk
