Four Rotax 912 engines were stolen during the night of 13/14 June from aircraft at Halwell , a microlight strip operated by South Hams flying club, near Totnes reports British Microlight Aircraft Association CEO Geoff Weighell

In recent years the BMAA and Light Aircraft Association have reported a number of thefts of Rotax engines from airfields and airstrips. “As far as I am aware this is the first such theft in the Devon area,” says LAA CEO Steve Slater. “Previously the majority of thefts have taken place in the east of England”.
