The Sywell Airshow committee has announced that the headline act at this year’s event on 17 August will be the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team – the Red Arrows.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary display season, the ‘Reds’ will return to the Northamptonshire airfield after their triumphant display in 2012.

Further acts announced include the Breitling Wing Walking Team and The Blades, as well as WWII Spitfires and Mustangs, and 1930s barnstormers. Also in this centenary year, the airshow provides the largest First World War aerial dogfight you can see in the Northern Hemisphere. All this and trade stands, kids entertainment and rides, an on site Museum, racing and classic cars and more – promising a corking day out for all.

The show is organised to raise funds for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and other local charities.

Check out Sywell Airshow’s website for ticket details (including an early bird discount) and to purchase family tickets, which are only available in advance (2 adults and 3 kids for £40). You can also info@sywellaerodrome.co.uk or call 01604491112.
