The UK Department for Transport (DfT) has released funding to encourage the adoption of Electronic Conspicuity

The UK Department for Transport (DfT) has released funding to encourage the adoption of Electronic Conspicuity (EC) in General Aviation and Unmanned Aircraft operations. The CAA is now distributing these funds via a rebate scheme.

The scheme opened to applications from 5 October, and will remain open until 31 March 2021 or all the allocated funding is used. Those meeting the requirements can claim a fifty per cent rebate of the purchase cost of an EC device, up to a maximum of £250 (including VAT). It is anticipated that up to ten thousand rebates will be available.

The funding is available for portable or installed aircraft devices only. Ground system components do not qualify for this scheme, and only equipment purchased from 1 October 2020 until 28 February 2021 will be eligible for rebate.

To apply, login or register for an account on the CAA online customer portal. For all enquiries please contact ECRebate@caa.co.uk
