Popham airfield is facing a second threat, again from a wind farm planning application.

Many readers have already supported the airfield by lodging objections to the Bullington Cross wind farm that would come to within 1.9nm West of the site.

However a second wind farm has now been proposed. TCI Renewables wants to build six turbines 130.5 metres (430 feet) high, the two closest being 2nm ESE of the airfield.

Full details of the planning application and how to object are on the Popham Airfield website, www.popham-airfield.co.uk/Windfarm/PPopham.htm, or you can email ProtectPopham@gmail.com for more information.
