The 2020 Pooley’s Dawn to Dusk Challenge is open for applications, with the deadline for entries set for 31 August

Now in its 57th year, the competition sees pilots fly a challenging or otherwise noteworthy route (with a theme), writing up a detailed log of their preparations and their flight.

Traditionally, many entrants choose to link their challenge with a charitable endeavour, raising money as they fly.

Given the widespread lockdowns that have affected GA around the world, Pooley’s is warning applicants that ‘they should look to sharpen their flying skills before attempting a Dawn to Dusk Challenge’.
