Members of the Development Control Committee for South Gloucestershire Council will be visiting the former Filton Airfield site on 27th March at 9.45am. They will be arriving at the BAe Flight Operations car park (via underpass access [Combination junction] on A38).

This site visit is one of several visits scheduled the purpose of which is for Committee Members to view the site and its context in light of a planning application for development (details below). It has been stated that no decision on the application will be made at that time, but members of the public are invited to be present and objectors and supporters will be allowed three minutes to speak to the Councillors present to draw their attention to particular issues of concern. This time will need to be shared if there is more than one speaker.

For further details of the site visit, especially if you would like to speak, you should make contact with the committee clerk, Paul Johnson on 01454 864425, or email before the day.

Organisers say that it is not uncommon for delays to occur against the published timetable so if the Sites Inspection Committee has not arrived by the published time you can contact 07785 998 044 for an update.

Following the conclusion of the visits a brief meeting is held at the Turnberries Community Centre to review the issues raised. Please contact Paul Johnson, as above, if you require further details of this part of the proceedings.
