The only piston-engine aircraft with a pressurised cabin will be available for a little under £1 million

Piper Aircraft’s M350 will soon enter service in Europe after being certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The six-seater single-piston engine aircraft has a maximum cruising speed of 213kts and can reach 25,000ft. It is powered by a 350hp Lycoming TIO-540-AE2A 350 and equipped with the Garmin 1000 avionics suite.

The 2016 M350 is listed at $1,155,500, around £940,000.

“The Piper M350 is the only current production pressurised piston-engine aircraft now on the market,” said Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott. It is a “key part of our focus on product improvement and offers the advanced safety features that set out aircraft apart and gives our customers peace of mind”.

Among the features is a GFC700 autopilot, dual 10.4-inch Primary Flight Displays and a high-resolution 12.4-inch Multi Function Display.

The M350 is equipped with electronic stability protection, underspeed protection, coupled go around and automatic level mode. It also has emergency descent mode, which automatically drops the aircraft if the pilot is incapacitated at altitudes requiring oxygen.
