A campaign has been set up to prevent Panshanger Aerodrome from being closed in order to make way for a housing estate.

Welwyn and Hatfield Council is proposing to construct 700 houses on the site of the historic airfield, which is home to the North London Flying School.

The plans are open to consultation until 18 January, and the campaigners are urging pilots to register their objections in order to keep the airfield open.
