The airfield is keen to inform potential visitors that it is operating as usual and offering pilots the opportunity to fly in at night twice a week.
In a message to Pilot magazine a spokesperson said:
‘Night Flying is in full swing at Wellesbourne Airfield where, despite the threat to our survival it is BUSINESS AS USUAL.
‘Night flying takes place on Thursdays and Fridays from official night to 2000 hrs. Visitors are welcome – usual landing fee. Please check with Tower on 01789 842000.’
