Hartzell Propeller has introduced a new lightweight, constant-speed carbon fibre propeller designed specifically for Rotax engines. The three-blade unit, weighing only 9kg including the spinner, features Hartzell’s forward-tension hub and a durable nickel-cobalt leading edge. This material is notably harder than aluminium, providing strong blade protection.

For the Rotax 916iS engine, the Kestrel Propeller from the Falcon Propeller Series has been identified by Cub Crafters as the top performer among four options tested. It is currently undergoing certification by the FAA.

For Rotax 912 and 914 engines, Hartzell offers the WhirlWind GA-RW3B, a ground-adjustable three-blade propeller weighing 3.6kg. It is available in both standard and STOL versions, with the latter featuring a larger diameter.
