The British Microlight Aircraft Association (BMAA) will be providing a new series of one-day training courses for pilots this autumn, with ten dates scheduled at Popham and Barton. The training courses cover a range of operational and technical subjects. Although the courses are primarily aimed at student pilots and newly qualified licence holders, more experienced aviators will also benefit by refreshing their knowledge.

There has already been strong demand for the BMAA’s technical training programmes. The association confirmed its first Rotax maintenance course sold out very quickly, prompting the addition of a second one in October. These will be delivered by experienced BMAA specialists in small groups of twelve participants, thus allowing adequate opportunities for practical demonstrations, as well as group discussions and individual questions. Organisers say the emphasis is on hands-on learning, with content designed specifically for microlight pilots rather than generic aviation training.

Bookings are now open for all ten courses, with further details and the full programme available through the BMAA’s online booking system.
