A fully integrated ATPL package called the Elite Pathways Programme™ (EPP) has been introduced by Coventry flight training company, Airways Aviation.
The EPP offers students EASA approved training with a focus on the student experience and industry-readiness, with additional skills, experience and opportunities beyond the standard ATPL course.
This means that while the EPP offers the key attributes of a fully integrated ATPL these are packaged with additional airline preparation experience and advanced flight training – including upset recovery, multi pilot and jet training.
Ian Cooper, Airways Aviation General Manager and Head of Training in the UK, who has over 10 years experience in delivering modular, integrated and MPL programmes and first-hand experience of the strengths and challenges of standard training packages and methodologies, says: “The development of tailored programmes that meet the varying needs of airlines around the world is critical for the future growth of this industry. We believe we have a responsibility to ensure our graduates experience a training programme that is thorough and challenging, where safety always comes first, and the attainment of high-level, industry recognised (and required) skills is paramount.”
In addition to the launch of its EPP, Airways Aviation has also recently opened a fair-weather flying base in Huesca, Spain. Aside from the idyllic location, the base offers students an opportunity to undertake European (EASA) accredited training in European airspace.
