The recent weather has been terrific for flying, and now we want you to have a great flying day with us – so come and join us for the Pilot magazine IWM Duxford Bonus Day fly-in on Saturday 20 July.
Thanks to the good folks at IWM Duxford landing fees will be half-price, so just £7 on the day and entry to the museum will also be half-price at £8.
IWM Duxford is a great place for a day out, and even if you’ve been to the museum before there’s always something new to see. This year the new Historic Duxford exhibition opened in March, painting a vivid picture of daily life at Duxford during the war years; it includes the Watch Office, the forerunner to the Control Tower, as it might have been during the late 1930s.
One of the things that make the Bonus fly-in days a bit special is that there’s usually an expert guided tour from the tower around the site and museum, too.
In addition to all the Pilot readers who will be arriving in a wide variety of aircraft, we’ll be sharing the day with a gathering of Vans RV flyers, so it will be a great chance to meet fellow pilots and compare notes about different aircraft – there’s also a possibility the RV8tors might be there too for a practice display (you can read more about them in the latest issue of Pilot, on sale July 17).
We hope you’ll join us for a great day out, but landing slots are limited, so book yours by calling 01223 833 376.
