The first UK registered Lambert Mission M108, G-STPK, received its full Permit to Fly on 30 January 2015.

This followed an eight-month test and evaluation phase conducted by the engineering department of the Light Aircraft Association (LAA).

The important milestone of the Mission M108 having been added to the LAA’s list of approved aircraft designs allows the Mission M108 to be built, registered and flown in the UK. Validation of the UK type approval is already underway in several other countries.

Steve Kember, the builder/owner of Mission M108 G-STPK, has been appointed as Lambert Aircraft Engineering’s sales representative for the UK and Ireland and the UK office will be expanding to offer technical support in the coming months. Kember intends flying his aircraft to the UK later this month, where it will be based at a 300m farm strip in East Sussex.

For anyone looking to purchase a Mission M108, the Lambert Mission website has an M108 Technical Publications section. This online library will soon contain all technical documentation related to the Mission M108, such as the Airplane Flight Manual, Maintenance Manual, Assembly Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalogue, Service Bulletins, etc. Access to the Tech Pubs requires a password which is given free of charge to all Mission M108 owners.
