Jeppesen has introduced new capabilities and European coverage areas for Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck VFR.
A new ‘airspace warnings’ function provides advance warnings of potential in-flight airspace infringements. General airspace information, distance and time to infringement as well as frequencies are now included with Mobile FliteDeck VFR.
Jeppesen also says that a new design feature within the NOTAM sections allows for improved management of significant information for pilots. ‘NOTAM pinning’ enables pilots to create a unique NOTAM display, appropriate for specific needs.
The App will now allow personalised display of distance configurations through a new ‘track vector’ feature (at 5, 15, 30 and 60 minute intervals), to view flight progression. The feature was developed as the result of input received from pilots flying in complex terrain or airspace structures.
Jeppesen has also expanded Mobile FliteDeck VFR’s European coverage to cover Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
