The Historic Aircraft Association (HAA) will hold its annual flagship event at the RAF Museum Hendon on Saturday 25 November 2023.

Open to anyone ‘with an interest in the preservation and operation of historic aircraft,’ the symposium offers a full day of presentations and networking opportunities in an iconic setting.

Four main speakers, ‘all carefully selected to inform and entertain,’ will present on a variety of topics pertinent to ‘developments and issues within the arena of vintage aviation’. Ian Gee will tell the story of the UK’s first seaplane, from its 1911 origins through to modern-day iterations, alongside a pilot’s perspective rom Peter Kynsey. Author Paul Beaver will also expand on his latest biography of Eric ‘Winkle’ Brown, throwing ‘new light on the background career’ of a remarkable test pilot.

Following a two-course lunch, Kath Burnham, one of the highest-time DC-3 pilots in the world, will elaborate on her experience on the type; including the recent delivery of a Dakota from the UK to the USA. Finallly, Mark Levy will describe ‘the challenges and opportunities of his own successful journey into the exclusive world of warbird display pilots’.

Tickets are available via this link, and HAA members can also benefit from discounted tickets.
