Number 10 has said that the future of the Red Arrows is secure while David Cameron is Prime Minister.
According to the BBC, the announcement came after the RAF’s help was offered in fitting smoke pods to the Indian military’s Surya Kiran display team aircraft.
Additionally, the Indian government has shown an interest in purchasing Hawk aircraft for its display team.
There had been speculation in the media that the Red Arrows – which costs around £9m a year to run – could fall victim to defence cuts.
