Congratulations to the Chair of the APPG on General Aviation, the Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP, on being made the Secretary of State for Transport and we wish him the very best of luck in his new role
The rules governing APPG’s state that Ministers may not Chair, nor be involved in, any APPG.
For this reason, Grant has resigned his position as Chair effective immediately.
The APPG will be appointing an interim Chair in the coming days – until then the APPG will continue to function as normal, working with the new Administration to make the UK the best place in the world for General Aviation.
