ABOVE: FTEJerez’s new UK facility will be based at London Oxford Airport
Commercial pilot training academy FTEJerez has confirmed the opening of a new UK base at London Oxford Airport (LOA), with contracts already signed and operations scheduled to commence late summer 2025. The company says the expansion marks a significant milestone in the FTO’s history by re-establishing a physical presence in the UK for the first time in over three decades. The company relocated from Scotland to southern Spain in the 1990s.
The move follows the recent approval to begin construction on facilities designed specifically for FTE’s operations at LOA. The new base will initially utilise two Diamond DA42 twin-engine trainers to deliver an in-house training solution tailored to UK CAA licensing requirements.
FTEJerez is currently an official training provider for British Airways and Jet2.com and this new base is designed to further strengthen its ability to support both its UK airline cadets and self-sponsored students pursuing a UK licence (or dual UK/EASA licence).
