The Cambridgeshire manufacturer, e-Go Aeroplanes of Conington, has announced that it has chosen award-winning local business, Forward Composites, to supply its aircraft’s production wings.

Huntingdon-based Forward was selected for its composites expertise, proximity to e-Go, and class-leading facilities. It will produce patterns, moulds and finished wing products that are nearly 4m in length.

“With our first customer order due for delivery in spring 2015, we are glad to have found a local company with the skills, equipment and experience to work with us at all stages to produce the tooling and finished wings for e-Go aircraft.” says e-Go’s CEO, Adrian Hillcoat.

“It is a perfect example of the symbiotic relationship between two, professional, local companies working together and utilising their core skills in this unique industry sector.”

“We are delighted to be involved in helping bring e-Go’s innovative aircraft to market,” adds Forward Composites’ Managing Director, Paul Jackson. “Our composite manufacturing experience in aviation, coupled with e-Go’s drive and enthusiasm makes a tremendous partnership.”
