Airbus Helicopters’ five-bladed H145 has been certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)
The authorisation covers single-pilot and instrument flight rules (IFR) and single engine operations (Cat A/VTOL) along with night vision goggles capability. Customer deliveries will begin towards the end of summer this year.

Powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines fitted with full authority digital engine control (FADEC), Airbus claims the helicopter’s especially low acoustic footprint makes it the quietest helicopter in its class.
The innovative five-bladed rotor, increases the useful load of the helicopter by 150kg and, according to Airbus Helicopters, the simplicity of its new bearingless rotor head design will improve serviceability and reliability, while enhancing ride comfort for both passengers and crew.
Certification by the Federal Aviation Administration will follow later this year, with approval for the military version expected in 2021.
