Raisbeck Engineering has introduced a new 96in diameter composite five-blade swept propeller for Beechcraft King Air 200/B200/B200GT series aircraft
Designed by Hartzell Propeller, it is constructed from carbonfibre composite with nickel cobalt leading edges to protect against foreign object damage, and is said to be ‘noticeably quieter, with a thirty per cent noise reduction throughout the aircraft with less blade tip noise’.
The propeller, which has unlimited blade life, saves an average 48 lb in weight compared to the original factory-installed unit.
It also provides a 16.5% increased performance in runway acceleration, 48% increase in reverse performance, and 25.8% better engine-out climb rate with flaps up.
