German kitplane manufacturer ScaleWings Aircraft has commenced delivering the first ‘Quick Build’ kits of its SW-51 Mustang, which the company says is the world´s most accurate scale P-51 Mustang replica.
ScaleWings incorporated more than 100,000 details (like rivets and screws) of the original P-51 into the carbon surfaces of the kit, with the goal of creating the perfect reincarnation of the legendary fighter.
The standard kit includes the complete all-carbon airframe components, control elements, seats and the electrically driven retractable landing gear in the €119,000 price. Options include a Rotax 915iS engine, a Galaxy ballistic recovery system and Garmin avionics.
