A surprise speaker will talk about the challenge of filming aviation scenes for Dunkirk at the October 28 event
The surprise speaker at the Historic Aircraft Association’s annual Symposium, held at RAF Museum Hendon on October 28 will be Stephen Moth of Spirit in the Sky, who will be talking about the unique challenge of filming the aerial sequences of Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster movie Dunkirk.
Pilot’s Editor is among the regular attendees of these events and we know they are both highly interesting and very popular – last year’s was a sell-out, so with such an interesting and topical subject being presented by surprise speaker Stephen Moth it is a good idea to book now!
This year’s other presentations will be given by Guy Black, relating the story of Aircraft Restoration’s rebuild of the DH9 (which features in October’s ‘Old Timers’, p.60); Rod Dean, on his many years as an historic aircraft airshow pilot, regulator and Flight Display Director (‘he has many interesting stories to tell,’ says the HAA), and George Bacon, Manager and Chief Pilot of the Army Historic Flight.
