‘Ever fantasized about how you would paint your dream plane?’ asks Diamond Aircraft. ‘Now you’ll have the chance to turn this dream into reality!’
Through its DA50 Exterior Design Competition, the Austrian company is calling for exterior paint scheme design proposals for the aircraft, which made its debut at AERO Friedrichshafen in 2018 wearing distinctly… well, you might say interesting pink and gold colours. Today, Diamond wants ‘to involve our customers, partners, friends, fans [and] designers… in the process of developing our aircraft’.
The deadline for submitting an entry is 14 August, 2019 at 12:00pm CEST/UTC +2. Diamond’s jury will select up to three winners from all entrants based on the Judging criteria. The winners will be notified in or around September 2019.
In addition to the implementation of the submitted exterior design, the overall winner will receive a sightseeing flight for themselves and their ‘plus one’ in a Diamond aircraft. The runner up will receive a 1:32 DA50 model, painted up with their exterior design.
The third prize winner will receive a high quality Diamond goodie bag.
