Defiant X will have Honeywell’s engine

The Defiant X is Sikorsky and Boeing’s entrant in the US Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) competition

Sikorsky and Boeing have announced that its Defiant X advanced helicopter will be powered by Honeywell’s new HTS7500 turboshaft engine. The Defiant X is Sikorsky and Boeing’s entrant in the US Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) competition. The helicopter was recently displayed in Nashville, at the Army Aviation Association of America’s annual summit. The FLRAA contract is expected to be awarded later this year.
