Cotswold Airport are pleased to announce that AV8’s completion is ‘now on finals’ and is scheduled to reopen to the public on Friday the 28th June 2019

Initial delays, beyond their control, meant the restaurant had to be re-roofed and then the internals stripped back to bare brick and dried out, in the same way flood damaged properties are restored.

This compete strip out has allowed a complete refurbishment with an all-new inside including flooring, tables and chairs. They have also added some other interesting bits such as USB charging ports.

Whilst retaining the aviation theme inside and the unrivalled view of planes taking off and landing, they have added a few bespoke features which are unique to Kemble.

These include a pedestrianised front area (the old front car park) displaying some jet heritage aircraft, a newly marked car park to the rear with more marked bays and more disabled parking, specified bike and cycle parking areas and an airliner fuselage section, courtesy of Air Salvage International, which will be mounted inside the restaurant with leather seating for 18 people.

Suzannah Harvey and her father, Ronan, owner of Cotswold Airport, hosted a private launch last week which saw an array of VIPs, including Marco Pierre White and HRH Rawy Al Said of Oman, getting a sneak peek, enjoying wonderful food and enthusing about the new changes.

Due to the re-opening coinciding with The Great Vintage Fly In Weekend (29-30 June) which will see an array of aircraft visiting throughout the weekend, table bookings are absolutely essential. Please call AV8 on 01285 771188 to book yours now.
