US hangar door manufacturer, Schweiss Doors, has produced a Build Your Own Door Kit that comes with all the necessary door components, including heavy-duty cylinders and spherical bearings, wrap-around hinges that are simple to grease from inside the hangar, and a compact factory pre-wired hydraulic pump, so that you can assemble your own hydraulic doors for your hangar.
The design software provides all the necessary door specs, weights and forces and detailed information needed in order to build a hydraulic door. The greatest challenge, to develop a hinge that comes preassembled, prewelded and is robust enough, has been addressed with this new design, which makes it easy for customers to assemble the steel doorframe on their own premises and potentially reduce costs.
