British Aerobatics has announced a partnership with Tele2 IoT for the upcoming British Aerobatics OPEN Championship, scheduled to be held at Northamptonshire’s Sywell Aerdrome on the 10-14 July.

“We are delighted to partner with British Aerobatics for the OPEN Championship and explore how world class unlimited flying can express the unlimited possibilities Tele2 IoT offers,” explained Cyril Deschanel, Managing Director, Tele2 IoT. The European cellular Internet of Things connectivity provider will also be providing bandwidth for media partner Aeroview.tv to livestream the entire championship vi YouTube.

David Nichols of the British Aerobatics management team added that the upcoming event will be their “biggest aerobatic contest for 15 years,” highlighting that they were “pulling out all the stops for it”. “The partnership with Tele2 IoT gives us the capability to bring the excitement of unlimited aerobatics to a much wider audience via livestreaming,” he added.

The competition is open to all Advanced and Unlimited pilots to compete to be British National Champion, British Open Champion or British Open Freestyle Champion. ‘Freestyle Sunday’ will also allow display pilots the opportunity to compete with smoke to ‘see who can impress the most’.

Pilots already signed up to compete at the OPEN Championships include Eire’s Laura Russell, Italy’s Andrea Pesanto and the UK’s Melanie Astles.
