Piper Aircraft has appointed Wycombe Air Park (Booker)-based British European Aviation Group (BEA) as its exclusive dealer for the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands, which ‘represent some of the most active private aviation markets in Europe,’ the manufacturer says
Formed in 2010 by bringing together long established light aviation companies, BEA/Booker Aviation has over three decades of experience in helicopters, fixed-wing aeroplanes and light aviation engineering.
“BEA has the experience, presence and passion throughout the United Kingdom to become a dominant player in the sales of new Piper aircraft,” said Ron Gunnarson, Piper’s Vice-President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support. “We are delighted to add BEA to our global network of dealers. The company’s reputation, knowledgeable personnel and five strategic locations throughout the UK provide an ideal foundation for growing sales of new Piper airplanes in this important region.”
“As the exclusive leasehold owners of Wycombe Air Park, BEA has 24/365 access to a GA friendly airfield which is ideally situated near London, [and]has the stability and control to develop as the premier business venue for general aviation in and around the London area,” added BEA Chief Executive Officer Sean Brown.
“It is this experience, capability and shared vision that BEA is developing with Piper Aircraft in the UK. Additionally, with BEA’s experience as a current owner of six Piper Aircraft, the company is uniquely positioned to guide, support and provide a unique aeroplane management package which will assist current and future Piper customers through the selection, purchasing and operating phases of Piper aircraft ownership.”
