The Guild of Aviation artists is holding its Annual Summer Exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London from 17 to 23 July
As far Pilot’s editorial team is concerned, this is one of the ‘must see’ exhibitions of the year – the standard of the works on show is absolutely superb and the imagination that goes into the way aircraft, people and places are portrayed will take your breath away. ‘These are not mere pictures of aeroplanes,’ says Pilot Editor and lapsed amateur aviation artist Philip Whiteman, ‘but visions of flying that will inspire even the most jaded flyer’.
Taking place just down the road from Buckingham Palace at the Admiralty Arch end of the Mall, the exhibition will be open on Monday to invited guests only, and after that open to the public from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and 10am to 12.30pm on the final Sunday.
Admission is free, the works on view are for sale and the catalogue costs £5. Further information from tel: 03331 302 223, email: admin@gava.org web: www.gava.org.uk
