A business consortium headed by a former Cessna CEO has started taking orders for a ‘remanufactured’ Cessna 421.

According to AVweb, The Aviation Alliance – a partnership of ten individuals and companies, led by Jack Pelton – plans to offer more modernised turbine-powered aircraft in the future.

Known as the Excalibur, the group’s first offering will be powered by PT6A-135A turboprops and feature a redesigned cockpit, interior and systems.

A prototype Excalibur is currently flying, and deliveries are expected to start at the end of this year.
