Flight testing of the AT-6 Twin PSE light twin is progressing in Mielec, Poland, with certification work expected to conclude by November 2026. Led by designer Tomasz Antoniewski, who also designed the popular AT-3 trainer, the programme is currently targeting validation of performance, safety and efficiency. Development began in 2012 and resumed in 2022 with support from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
The four-seat aircraft is powered by two 141hp Rotax 915 engines, with a planned upgrade to 160hp Rotax 916 motors. It features an all-metal structure, three lifting-surface aerodynamics and is expected to incorporate a ballistic parachute recovery system. The design is aimed at training and private markets, with longer-term studies exploring hybrid propulsion concepts.
