Polish aircraft builder Aero AT, which makes the AT-3 VLA and AT-4 LSA, has been bought by Jiangsu LanTian Aerospace Industrial Park.

The Chinese company said it plans to inject significant resources into Aero AT to increase production of aircraft and parts. It also plans to accelerate the development of a programme of aircraft updates and upgrades.

Jiangsu LanTian said the current Aero AT manufacturing operation in Mielec, Poland, will continue to build aircraft for Europe and North America, and parallel to this a new 20,000sq m production facility is being established in China for the local market.

The two seat AT-3, which is powered by a 100hp Rotax 912S and has found a niche with flying schools, is sold in the UK and Ireland by S2T Aero of North Weald.
