The Classic Air Force visitor centre, based at Newquay Cornwall Airport, will open its doors to the public on Good Friday (29 March).
It is located in the 63,000 sq ft Hangar 404, which was originally built to house Nimrod anti-submarine aircraft. According to the Classic Aircraft Trust – which was established last year to safeguard the future of iconic aircraft in British skies – it has now become home to the largest collection of flyable vintage jet aeroplanes in Europe.
The centre also includes a café, shop, cinema and art gallery.
