On the anniversary of the first flight of the Concorde on March 2, 1969, the Museum of Air and Space, in collaboration with the AAMA (Association of Friends of the Air Museum) and the APCOS (Association of Professionals of the Concorde and Supersonic), will hold a special event on March 2 and 3, 2019
Fifty years ago, on March 2, 1969 at 3:38 pm, the Concorde took off from Toulouse-Blagnac airport in the hands of pilot André Turcat, assisted by Jacques Guignard, Michel Rétif and Henri Perrier.
After a 30-minute flight over the pink city, the prototype 001 landed safely. The historic flight marked a revolution in the French history of aviation.
The Concorde F-WTSS Prototype , which flew for the first time in 1969, as well as the Concorde F-BTSD Sierra Delta, will be exhibited by the Museum of Air and Space and are accessible during the visit .
Featuring Guided tours, exhibitions, lectures, simulators, quizzes and films, visitors can relive the Concorde legend over an exceptional weekend.
