Continuing the countdown to kittyhawk, this years Sun ‘n Fun exhibition provides visitors the opportunity to relive history and take control of the Wright Flyer – albeit in a virtual sense.

On December 17th at 10.35am a full size Wright Flyer replica will take to the skies at Kittyhawk, North Carolina to recreate that famous first flight flown exactly 100 years earlier, but those visiting Sun, n Fun this year, can try out Microsoft’s virtual Wright Flyer, and experience how difficult it really was to fly such a machine.

New aircraft in FS2004 will include those that took aviation development forward through the decades, aircraft such as the Ryan NYP –  flown by Charles Lindbergh, the Vickers Vimy, Ford Tri-Motor and the DC-3 Dakota.
