The pilot of a Fuji FA-200 heard a bump and saw a flash of white as he took off from Caernarfon.

Suspecting a birdstrike, he continued to climb to 1,500ft when he heard a noise from the propeller and saw the spinner detach. Engine performance was not affected and the aircraft landed back safely.

While in the cruise a large bird, believed to have been a buzzard, struck a Van’s RV9’s starboard wing leading-edge. The fuel tank deformed, tearing away the outer end of the skin from the next section of the wing and the fuel cap blew out, but the aircraft remained controllable at all times and continued to its destination.
