The XA42 two-seat aerobatic aircraft from XtremeAir has received FAA certification.

The XA42 two-seat aerobatic aircraft from XtremeAir has received FAA certification.

According to the company, the aircraft is the only two-seat aerobatic aeroplane manufactured and certified with both a carbon fibre composite fuselage and structural design.

The XA42 and its single-seat counterpart XA41 are certified for a load factor up to +/- 10g. They are both equipped with a Lycoming AEIO-580-B1A piston engine with 315hp.

Following receipt of the European type design certification and production approval from EASA, the FAA issued registration certificate No. A00064CE on 5 November.
